| Robert Ben has a broad civil litigation practice with a primary emphasis on insurance defence matters. He has advised and represented clients in a range of tort litigation matters, including bodily injury and fatalities, product liability, occupiers’ liability, professional negligence, libel and slander, and civil fraud. Robert also has experience in the area of general corporate commercial litigation and has assisted senior counsel on complex commercial insurance matters including matters involving directors’ and officers’ liability. |

Robert has been a member of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association since his brief secondment to the organization while a student-at-law.
A trained social worker, Robert previously worked with homeless youth and young offenders. He is also a past member and treasurer of the community advisory board of Archway, a community-based outpatient program of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. |
