Jennifer King joined Adair Morse as an associate in July 2008, where she is building a broad civil litigation practice in the areas of tort litigation, insurance defence, personal injury, medical malpractice, corporate commercial law and professional negligence. Jennifer articled with a Toronto boutique litigation firm where she worked on complex business disputes, defended medical malpractice actions, and assumed carriage of pro bono criminal files. She has also practiced in the areas of intellectual property litigation, aboriginal law and environmental law.
Jennifer has appeared as counsel before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal. Jennifer has also appeared before various tribunals, including the Ontario Municipal Board and the Ontario Securities Commission. |

| Jennifer is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Advocates’ Society. She volunteers at Law Help Ontario, a court-based self-help centre for low-income, unrepresented litigants at the Superior Court of Justice. |

Jennifer currently serves on LEAF National’s Education Committee, a national charitable organization that works toward ensuring the law guarantees substantive equity for all women in Canada.
While completing her legal studies, Jennifer was the Public Legal Education Coordinator at the University of Toronto’s Downtown Legal Services.
Over the course of her education, Jennifer received several significant awards. At McMaster University, Jennifer was a Loran Scholar, a national scholarship granted for academic excellence, leadership and commitment to community service. Upon graduation, she was awarded the President's Award of Excellence for academic excellence, leadership and community service. Upon graduation from the University of Toronto, Jennifer was awarded the Legal Aid Ontario Award for outstanding and continuous contribution to legal aid, clinic practice and public interest law and demonstrated academic excellence. |
